“For you formed my inward parts, you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you for I am fearfully and wonderfully made, your works are wonderful, I know that full well” -Psalm 139:13-14
Isn’t this such a beautiful picture! God designed each of us with detail and meaning. No part of you was ever a mistake because God has had His hand on your life from before you were born! God formed you and He designed you just how He intended to from the beginning.
Have you ever wondered what it means to be fearfully and wonderfully made? We hear this all the time in church but to be honest it can be kind of confusing. The wonderful part makes sense but what about the fearful part? Was God scared of us? Definitely not! The Word fearfully in Hebrew means, with great reverence, respect, heart-felt interest and awe. Wow! God made you with great reverence, respect, heart-felt interest and awe! God’s hand has always been on you and He has great interest in your life! You are a beautiful creation made by a beautiful creator!

God I am in awe of how much you love me. Thank you that you created me with intention and purpose. Thank you that you did not make a mistake but that you have had your hand on my life from before I was born. Help me to see myself the way you do God. Amen.
