YOU ARE MINE. Wow! What a crazy awesome thing to hear from God! He calls us into His family, into His loving arms and He calls us His children. We do not need to be afraid of what others may think of us because God has authority over it all! He will protect you and comfort you. God has chosen you and He has a purpose for you greater than you could ever comprehend.
Because Jesus has saved us and we are His, that means He now has ownership over us. Now that's not as scary as it may seem because your life is in the hands of a loving and merciful God. And before God saved you, your life was in the hands of the devil. Being under the authority of Jesus means that we need to submit to His ways! We need to walk alongside Him and trust that His ways are better than our own!
What’s something you could submit to Jesus today?
Is it a tv show you’ve been watching that doesn’t glorify God? Is it the hours you spend scrolling on social media? Is it not spending any time with God at all?
Submitting your sinful ways to God is hard but it is always worth it because God will give you something much better in return!
Prayer:
God, thank you that you call me yours. Thank you that you love me so much that you can not leave me in my sin but that you call me to a higher standard. I submit my life to you today, Lord. Would you please bring conviction and make me more like yourself. I love you. Amen.
